The City of Monterrey, better known as the “Sultana del Norte”, is considered the industrial capital of Mexico because of its numerous corporations and assembly plants located in this State. Its proximity to the United States of America has enabled the city to host major congresses and conventions.

Santa Lucía river-walk

A walk that comprises the Mexican History Museum and the Plaza de los 400 años with its beautiful artificial lake surrounded by terraces, restaurants, etc.

Marco Museum

This museum has a permanent painting and sculpture exhibition and is open on Thursdays to Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Wednesday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and is closed on Mondays.

Barrio Antiguo (Old Town)

A delightful promenade on "Calandria" where you will observe many 19th Century buildings and nocturnal prowls.

Cola de Caballo

Towards Santiago, this is a beautiful 25 meter waterfall, ideal to visit with the family, and where you can rent horses and wagons. 

Fundidora Park

 You can travel through its wide landscapes on a tramway and visit the Cineteca (film archive), Pinacoteca (picture gallery) or the Centro de Artes (art center). Open throughout the year from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Bioparque Estrella

55 minutes from Monterrey, this is an ecological sanctuary where you can coexist with nature and admire its beautiful landscapes. 

El Obispado, Regional History Museum

Dating from 1787, this is one of the main architectural and historical edifications in Monterrey. Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, closed on Mondays.

Alfa Planetarium

Consisting of exhibitions, a cafeteria, shop and a movie screening room with an Omnimax system, Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sundays from 11:30 am to 20:00 pm.

Grutas de García (Garcia Caves)

In the heart of Cerro del Fraile, this is a 2 kilometer walk where you can admire the stunning formations of stalactites and stalagmites.


Located only
 12 kilometers south from Monterrey, this natural reservation is perfect for practicing cycling, climbing and paragliding, among many others.

Plaza Sésamo (Sesame Street)

Recreational theme park with resorts, mechanical rides, rides for children and theaters, Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
