LOCATION

With the magnificent historical center of this colonial city as its backdrop, Camino Real Puebla is located on the premises of 16th century Convent of La Concepción that belonged to the wealthy order of the Conceptionist Clarists from 1593 till 1861. It was then occupied as an army quarter by the Orient Army that would defend the city on May 5, 1862.

In the heart of the noble and heroic city of Puebla you can find the buildings that are closer to the Spanish architectonic influence, with its fusion elements from the Viceroyship era. Camino Real Puebla has 84 rooms and suites decorated in the purest Viceroyship-era style and received the “Four Diamond Award” granted by the American Automobile Association.

Historic, artistic, and religious elements are combined in the Camino Real Puebla. This allows the visitor to enjoy an atmosphere full of special elements. Its patios and rooms are true witnesses of different pictorial expressions from two different eras: religious expressions of the 16th century and military expressions of the 19th century. Each corner of the hotel offers works of art conceived in different centuries. The painting of the Immaculate Conception that hangs in the main Lobby, created by Miguel Angel Zendejas, is worth mentioning.

ARCHITECTURE

The elements of the Viceroyship era in the architecture that give the patios and rooms their form, allow you to appreciate the exquisiteness with which they were built. Each arch, fountain and vault that can be appreciated today almost in their original state, were made with rock, stucco, and mortar.
